I'm a huge fan of the Japanese sushi comic book Shota No Sushi, from which I learned the sushi spirit of not forgetting the original intention, never giving up, and endless learning, which allowed me to learn infinite sushi in the process of learning sushi for more than 20 years happily. Today I finally have an opportunity to achieve my dream to open a sushi restaurant and continue to inspire myself under the name Shota.
Omakase is best translated as “I leave it up to you.” Diners allow the chef to create and control all aspects of the meal, curating a unique dining experience.
Shota only offers one modern Edomae Style Omakase Dinner tasting menu, which begins with 4 otsumami, Japanese small plates, followed by miso soup, then progresses through 11 pieces of seasonal nigiri, 1 hand roll, and tamago. Guests are either seated at our 16-seats or 8-seats white oak wood Counter.The Omakase Dinner menu is priced at $195 per person, excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity.

Typical seating for dinner will last about 1 hour and 45 minutes, We do have a time limit in order for us to prepare for the next seating.
Thank you for your interest in Shota. Reservations for up to four guests can be booked online via Resy or by contacting reservation@shotaomakase.com. Reservations will be available online 30 days in advance, the link goes live at 10 am. and a credit card is required to secure a reservation. Your card will only be charged if your reservation is canceled with less than 72 hours' notice.If you are unable to obtain a reservation, we encourage you to join our Notify list, as you will be contacted if space becomes available.For parties larger than four, please contact reservation@shotaomakase.com.
Cancellations or changes must be made via RESY at least 72 hours before your reservation. Changes within 72 hours are non-refundable. For parties of 5 or more, cancellations within 5 days are non-refundable. Rescheduling within 72 hours is treated as a cancellation. We charge a fee due to pre-ordering fish a week in advance in preparation of your meal.
Yes, we offer one premium beverage pairing typically consisting of a mix of champagne, sake, and wine which are all coming soon.
Yes, we charge $100 per bottle or $150 per magnum, for a maximum of two bottles per party.Please make sure to consult with the restaurant (text/email) before bringing bottles, as any bottle of wine/sake that is on our list can not be accepted as corkage.
Yes, with certain exceptions. We must be made aware of dietary restrictions at least 48 hours before the reservation time, 90% of our fish are pre-order and flown in from Japan, and requires a lead time to prepare for our omakase menu around certain restrictions. or else they may not be accommodated.Common restrictions that we can accommodate include, but are not limited to, Kosher, Gluten-free, dairy-free, pescatarian, shellfish allergies, soy, and rice. Restrictions that we will not be able to accommodate are the detestation of raw fish, no vinegar, vegetarianism, and veganism.Guests with dietary restrictions who have not familiarized themselves with the policies stated above remain subject to our cancellation policy.
Yes, we offer 2 options for the private dining experience at our white oak sushi counter, for eight guests or 16 guests. A full buyout of the restaurant can also be accommodated, subject to availability. We will devote our energy to arranging any special day for you.For inquiries, please visit Private Dining to submit an event request.
