Omakase, meaning "I'll leave it up to you," is a Japanese dining experience where you entrust the chef to curate and prepare a multi-course meal based on seasonal ingredients and their expertise.

The name Shota" comes from the manga Shota no Sushi, which inspired Chef Cheng Lin to open the restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York.

We are open Monday—Saturday, with two seatings per night at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM.

We offer two omakase experiences:

Premium Omakase — $195 per person
Gentei Omakase — $255 per person, served by Chef Cheng Lin

Each dinner seating lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. To ensure a smooth experience for all guests, we adhere to this time limit to prepare for the next seating.

Reservations can be made via Tock or Resy.

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the reservation time.

Yes, we offer beverage pairings for our omakase menu.

Yes, for parties larger than six, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.

Yes, we allow outside beverages with a corkage fee:

$100 for a 720ml bottle
$150 for larger bottles
Limit: 2 bottles per party
All bottles must not be on our beverage list.
